Replacing a Service
To replace a service
means that you substitute a service with one or more other services. With this function users can order non-performable services which are replaced and supplemented by performable services in the service planning phase.
If you wish to perform or release non-performable services, the system automatically branches to the service replacement function.
In a view of the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility
view type in the clinical work station you select a service which you wish to replace, and select Replace Service
.
The Replace Service
dialog box appears.
If the service to be replaced is a service group, an intermediate window appears before the Release Service
dialog box, where you can select the subordinate services. Your selected services then appear in the Replace Service
dialog box.
In the Replace Service
dialog box you enter all services which should be performed instead of the originally ordered service. You can only replace the originally ordered service with services from the same service range, i.e. which can be performed by the same service facility.
You can branch to the hit list of services to select services. You select
(Hit List
).
Note
If the localization is flagged as obligatory on the Other
tab page in the service master of a service, the system checks whether the localization has been entered.
Save the entries.
You return to the clinical work station.
The save process triggers the following actions:
The system sets the service to be replaced to Replaced
status. The service can then no longer be performed.
The system attaches the new services to the replaced service. Together with the replaced service, the new services form a group so that you can always trace which services were assigned to a replaced service.
Each service of this group can then also be replaced, so an originally ordered service can have several replacement levels.
Each new service entered during replacement receives the same status as the replaced service before it was replaced.
Note
To undo a service replacement select Replace Service - Undo Replacement
. This action will return the replaced service to its former status, and this will cancel services created by the replacement. You must enter the reason for cancellation.
You can only undo a replacement if the system did not replace the other services linked to the replaced service.
Note
You can use the OU parameter N1OPENLEI
to specify up to which level the system will display the service groups opened when you replace the services.
A care unit requests the tumor comparison service, which is not performable. The performer of the service decides which services he/she will actually perform. This will replace the Tumor Comparison service and enter the services that will actually be performed.
