Procedure documentationAssigning a Transport Order to an Available Transporter

You can assign transport orders to an available transporter using Drag & Drop.

Procedure

  1. You select one or more transport orders within the Scheduled Transports area or the outstanding transport orders area of the dispatcher work station.

    Note Note

When you assign an outstanding transport order, you access the Create Transport Order dialog box where you determine the pick-up and destination times. Here you can also assign the transport order to several transporters.

    End of the note.
  2. You drag this (or these) transport order(s) to a transporter.

  3. You drop the transport order or orders onto the transporter.

    Caution Caution

The simultaneous assignment of transport orders from different areas is not possible.

However, you can assign scheduled transport orders to several transporters. Once you have assigned the transport order to a transporter using Drag & Drop, the transport order will disappear from the Scheduled Transports area. To assign further transporters you can select this transport order in the Transporter with Assigned Orders area, and enter the transporters in the Change Transport Order dialog box.

    End of the caution.
  4. Depending on OU parameter N1FDSTAPOP you will access the Set Status dialog box, where you can change the time of the status change.

    Example Example

You enter the assignment of a transport order to a transporter in the system half an hour later. You wish the status change to be entered with the time at which it actually took place, i.e. half an hour before the system time.

    End of the example.
