Example: Short-Term Surgery Planning
Short-term surgery planning is used for the detailed planning of surgeries scheduled for the medium-term and to plan surgeries requested at short notice.
The user will plan the surgery in the operating room and determine the sequence of the surgeries in a room no later than in the short-term surgery planning.
You transfer surgeries which were planned on a day-based basis (without room assignments), into this OR plan by assigning a room and thus planning a time-based appointments.
An OR plan is required which displays the details of the individual surgeries. The OR plan should display surgeries over several rows. The following information is, for example, necessary:
All surgery services
All team members
Operating room
Positions
This OR plan should therefore be restricted to one day, it is not intended to be an overview of several days. For short-term surgery planning you can use the views of the Surgeries
or the Appointment Planning
view type of the clinical work station.
Note
This example demonstrates how you can use the views of the Surgeries
or Appointment Planning
view type. It is on an example surgery planning process, which must be adapted to suit customer requirements.
By using the Surgeries
view type for medium-term and long-term planning you achieve a uniform look and feel for the user. The system administrator manages the various OR plans using the clinical work station. This enables simple management of OR plans.
