You can use this function to convert day-based appointments into time-based appointments and vice versa.

Prerequisite

A prerequisite for conversion into a time-based appointment is that the planning organizational unit (OU) has planning authority at the specified time (and on the specified day).

Activities

You can convert a day-based appointment into a time-based appointment from the planning grid using one of the following variants:

  • Select day-based appointment Start of the navigation path Context menu Next navigation step Change Appointment Next navigation step Enter Time End of the navigation path.

    You must enter a time in the appointment editor. After saving the system will display the appointment according to the date and the specified time in the time grid of the planning grid.

  • Select day-based appointment Start of the navigation path Edit menu Next navigation step Change Appointment Next navigation step Enter Time End of the navigation path.

    You must enter a time in the appointment editor. After saving the system will display the appointment according to the date and the specified time in the time grid of the planning grid.

  • Select day-based appointment and position in the time grid using Drag&Drop

    You can use Drag&Drop to drag the day-based appointment in the time grid to the desired time. The system will automatically set the date and time with suitable data.

Conversion within a planning object or within the same column of the planning grid is not a prerequisite. The size of the display of the newly created time-based appointment depends on the duration or the scheduling type.

You can convert a time-based appointment into a day-based appointment from the planning grid using one of the following variants:

  • Select time-based appointment Start of the navigation path Context menu Next navigation step Change Appointment Next navigation step DeleteTime End of the navigation path.

    In the appointment editor you must delete the content of the Time field. After saving the system will display the appointment in the day-based appointments area.

  • Select time-based appointment Start of the navigation path Edit Menu Next navigation step Change Appointment Next navigation step DeleteTime End of the navigation path.

    In the appointment editor you must delete the content of the Time field. After saving the system will display the appointment in the day-based appointments area.

  • Select time-based appointment and position in the day-based area using Drag&Drop

    You can use Drag&Drop to drag the time-based appointment into the area for day-based appointments. The system will automatically delete the time and, if necessary, correct the date.
