Function documentationTask List

The task list displays all tasks which can be performed on the selected patient in the selected situation.

The task list can serve as a simple navigation tool with which you can toggle from one documentation object to the next. It can also be used as a control instrument for cooperative work with the various occupational groups and persons in the outpatient clinic. It contains columns which provide information concerning responsibility and editing status of a task.

The task list is displayed in the upper left of the documentation work station. You can hide the list using Task List in the application toolbar if you temporarily require more space on the screen to display other objects.

Integration

The task list is only available in the outpatient documentation work station.

Features

You edit tasks by clicking on the label or the task icon. The first time you do this the system creates a documentation object.

If you select the task again, the system displays the objects which have already been created. In template management you determine whether the task is offered for display or further processing. The task which is currently in processing is flagged with an icon light bulb (light bulb).

Further columns contain the editing status, the action icon, the name of the task, and, optionally, a ‘mandatory task' icon, a note on the task and the occupational group responsible.

Activities

The following functions are available in the task list as pushbuttons or in the context menu of the tasks and situations:

Function

Result

Complete Task

Sets the status of the selected task to completed. Other users can then see that this part of the treatment has been completed.

Cancel Task

Shows that this task must not be completed in this situation.

Add Task

Opens a dialog where you can add further tasks to the current situation. The system displays a structured catalog of all task templates and profile templates which are active and have the Available in Selection indicator set. Profiles enable the insertion of a group of task templates. It can be necessary to add tasks if particulars arise during the treatment of a patient, which were not taken into account in the situation template.

Close Situation

Closes a situation following the completion or cancellation of at least all required tasks. Tasks, which are not mandatory tasks and which have not been completed, can be automatically confirmed or canceled when the situation is closed. The system does not show closed situations in the selection list for editing situations.

Create Situation Note

Opens a note window where you can create a note or view and edit a note which was previously created for this situation. As this note function is also available in the assignment dialog, admission staff can enter organizational information here which is then accessible during treatment.

Note Note

As this note is deleted together with the situation, you should not document treatment data here.

End of the note.

Edit Layout

Enables layout adjustments to the task list. You can hide columns which you do not require. The layout is saved for each user.

Show Situation List

Makes the situation list visible even if only one single patient was selected in the clinical work station.

Show Detail View

Opens an information area. The lists contain an additional information column. If you click the information icon there, the system displays information which was entered for the situations or tasks in template management.

Create Note for Task

By clicking the Note column or using the context menu you can create a note for every task or display an existing note.

If the task list is opened for several patients, all situations for these patients are displayed in a second list. The displayed list of tasks always refers to the selected situation.
