Nursing Organizational Unit-Related Parameters
Using the settings related to the organizational unit (OU-related) the system administrator can influence the functionality of nursing support.
You use the following OU-related parameters to make settings for nursing.
You define the corresponding OU-related parameters using the transaction N1SQ or in the SAP Easy Access
menu under .
Caution
The nursing organizational units (OUs) require the Performable
indicator in the administrative data. From the SAP Easy Access
menu choose or Change
.
This parameter defines the proposed service time when nursing services are performed or released.
L: Planned time
S: System time
Note
This parameter should contain the value L
for all care units (OUs) which work with nursing support, so that the system proposes the planned service time as the time for performing or releasing.
You must set this parameter to K
for all care units which work with nursing support.
The system will assign the nursing services to the corresponding admission or transfer movement.
This parameter controls whether the system should display the data screen for changing the preset performing OU, requesting nursing OU and requesting departmental OU in the service entry or subsequent service entry function.
In nursing support, the system will automatically fill the OUs. You therefore set the parameter value for all care units which work with nursing support, to OFF.
This parameter controls whether the system should display the data screen for changing the preset performing OU, the requesting nursing OU, and the requesting departmental OU in the service entry function.
The parameter will only be used in the subsequent service function and only has an effect if the OU parameter N1LSANPU
is not maintained.
With this parameter you can control whether the system should automatically make NSR classifications and output a screen log when saving or copying a nursing service.
Space: No NSR classification
X: Automatic NSR classification without log
P: Automatic NSR classification without log
As standard the system will not make a classification.
You determine whether the nursing services which were entered in the subsequent service entry function, should receive the status performed
or released
(standard setting).
You define the nursing plan profile catalog which is used in this care unit (OU).
You determine which standard nursing plan catalog is used in this care unit (OU).
You define for a care unit (OU) how many days – from the system date – an NSR classification can be retroactively corrected.
This parameter controls whether the system should highlight the time columns of the services in the nursing worklist according to shift times.
Early shift: Blue
Midday shift: Green
Night shift: Red
You can individually change the name of the early shift (max. 6 characters).
You must previously have entered the value S = Shift
for the time display in the view setting of the nursing worklist.
You can individually change the name of the midday shift (max. 6 characters).
You must previously have entered the value S = Shift
for the time display in the view setting of the nursing worklist.
You can individually change the name of the night shift (max. 6 characters).
You must previously have entered the value S = Shift
for the time display in the view setting of the nursing worklist.
You define whether the system should display a message when entering a new entry in the nursing plan.
Space: The system will only display a message if the entry previously existed in the same block and was terminated.
T: The system will only display a message if the entry was terminated on the same day.
X: The system will not display a message.
Controls whether the nursing plan is to generally be called in display mode (value X) or in change mode (standard value space).
The system checks the parameter value for the patient's current nursing organizational unit.
Note
Note that when the nursing plan is called in changed mode, the system sets the case lock. This makes impossible the parallel processing of the case-related patient data by users of other occupational groups.
To prevent prolonged case locks, you can call the nursing plan in display mode. In this mode, users can, if required, switch to change mode by using the Change Nursing Plan
function. Once the changes have been made, the user switches back to display mode (Display Nursing Plan
function).
When you execute the following functions, the system automatically calls the nursing plan in change mode irrespective of the value of this parameter:
Create New Nursing Plan
Adopt Nursing Plan after Transfer of Patient from Another Care Unit
You define whether the user can enter free text for problems, resources, and goals in the nursing plan.
If the user has entered free texts and the parameter is then deactivated or the period of validity expires, the system will only display the free texts. They can no longer be changed.
You determine whether an alternative selection help should be used for the nursing plan profile.
Space: Checkboxes only for profiles
X: Checkboxes for all entries in the nursing plan profile
As standard, the selection help will only provide checkboxes for the nursing plan profiles.
You define the limit (color layout) for the achievement of goals in the nursing plan.
You enter the value in number;number
format.
The system will indicate the number of days until goal achievement as follows:
If the number of days has not been reached, no coloring will be used.
If the number of days (first number) has been reached, the system will display the number of days until goal achievement in green until the second number is reached.
If the number of days is reached (second number), the system will display the number of days until goal achievement in yellow.
If the number of days is exceeded, the system will display the number of days in red.
