Organizational Unit
The organizational units (OUs) form the organizational structure of your hospital.
The organizational structure in i.s.h.med is based on the organizational structure contained in IS-H, i.e. a hospital structure specified in IS-H will also available in i.s.h.med.
You can find the definition of organizational process units in IS-H basic data administration. The definitions relevant for i.s.h.med are on the Management Data
tab page of the individual OUs.
See Hospital Structure.
Note
If you use the surgery component in the clinical system, you must flag the organizational units (OUs) of the surgery area as surgery-relevant, (Type of Organizational Unit
indicator), as otherwise you cannot use the functionality of the surgery component for these OUs.
You should note that it is not possible to assign multiple building units to ORs for organizational units of the Surgery type. The system will only permit the primary assignment of building units to OUs of the Surgery type.
See Maintaining Organizational Unit-to-Building Units Assignments
You can use the following enhancements of the organizational structure in i.s.h.med in addition to the organizational and building structure:
Extended options for the predefinition of organizational structure units
Specification of an organizational process hierarchy
Definition of prerequisites for service processing in an OU (e.g. definition, whether service requests can be made of this OU)
