On the Messages tab page you enter and manage drug messages for a drug.

You assign the drug messages to specific message groups (e.g. drug messages for the order, for administration, etc.).

Integration

You can display these drug messages, for example, within the framework of the medication order or administration of a drug.

Prerequisites

You have already defined message groups in the Implementation Guide under Start of the navigation path Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step Medication Next navigation step Drug Catalog Next navigation step Manage Groups for Drug Messages End of the navigation path.

Activities

  • Treatment Days group box

    In the Treatment Days group box you can determine whether a counter for the sequential treatment days should always be displayed in the medication chart, never be displayed, or for a specific number of treatment days.

    Example Example

    For some drugs, particularly in the adjustment phase (number in days), it may be necessary to have information concerning the sequential treatment day in the medication chart.

    You therefore determine whether the counter for sequential treatment days should be display in the medication chart for a specific number of days starting from the beginning of treatment.

  • Drug Messages entry table

    You can enter messages for a message group in the table for drug messages. Select a message group and enter the drug message and validity. As standard the system will preset the type of drug message as "Information".

    Furthermore you can also determine whether the drug messages of this drug should be inherited by subordinated drugs of the drug hierarchy.

    Caution Caution

    Note that the system will also execute any changes made to a drug message of a superordinate drug in the correspondingly inherited drug message of the subordinate drug.

    In the table you can select whether you wish to display deleted drug messages or sort the entries and can change the layout of the table.
