Procedure documentationActivating an Order

You use this function to set valid saved medication orders (orders) to the internal status "Active". The system automatically sets existing medication events (events) to the internal status "Confirmed".

Caution Caution

You cannot change the order once it has been activated.

End of the caution.

You can activate orders in the following areas:

You can use the Business Add-In N1ME_CHANGE_MOSTAT to execute customer-specific checks when activating.

See Customer-Specific Enhancements for Medication

Procedure

  1. Select one or more orders in the order dialog or in a view of the Medication Orders view type and choose Activate Order (Activate Order).

If you call the function from a view of the Medication Orders view type, the Change Status screen appears.

    Note Note

You can also activate orders without a cycle. This makes sense for orders, for example, which you execute immediately (i.e. you generate only one event and then immediately end the order).

You should note, however, that without a cycle you cannot generate any more medication events for this order, as an order can no longer be changed once it has been activated.

    End of the note.
  2. The system changes the status of the orders to "Active" and the status of the existing events to "Confirmed".

    Note Note

If the order is a follow-up order, the system will automatically end the original order when activating.

    End of the note.
