Order Item
Order items are the individual items of a clinical order. An order item can be, for example, a request for medical services from a service facility or a preregistration for a surgery/treatment appointment for a patient.
As the initiator of a clinical order can order several order items from different order fillers (recipients), order items can contain different treatments, but still serve the same purpose, for example, an examination of the entire gastro-intestinal tract.
The order item row of a clinical order is an application component in the sense of the component concept of the clinical order.
