Function documentationScreen Modification Tab Page

On the Screen Modification tab page, the system administrator assigns the desired status profile and its validity to the order type.

Note Note

When an order item of a clinical order is created, the system uses the status profile that is defined for this point in time as valid for the corresponding order type. This status profile applies for the entire life cycle of the order item, independently of the validity of the assignment to the order type.

End of the note.

The system administrator can also define, for this corresponding order type, the field properties of the fields in the application component at item level as well as at header level, depending on the status of the corresponding order item. This means that he assigns a different behavior for the various statuses for the fields of the order items (required entry field, display field, inactive field, etc).

The system integrates an application component at header level (e.g. order data, comment, etc.) depending on the order type upon which the corresponding order item is based, into the clinical order.

If two order items with the same header components but with different definitions for the status-dependent screen modification are ordered in a clinical order, the system sorts the field properties according to the following priorities:

  • Must

  • Can

  • Display

  • Inactive

    Example Example

The user enters a clinical order with two order items of different order types (A and B). Item 1 has the status Confirmed, item 2 has the status Forwarded.

In Confirmed status of order type A the Short Anamnesis field in the General Medical Data header component is defined as a required entry field (must), in Forwarded status in order type B the Short Anamnesis field is a display field (display).

In this case, the Short Anamnesis field is a required entry field (must).

    End of the example.

You should note that the system does not check required entry fields until the work process is set to the next status, this means that the user can save the clinical order, even if not all required entry fields have been filled. Only when he enters the status change in the order item will the system check the required entry fields.

Note Note

For customers who only use SAP Patient Management (IS-H), status-dependent screen modification is not possible and the Screen Modification tab page therefore not available.
