In certain cases, it may be necessary to detach an order item of a clinical order from a case.

Example Example

You wish to put a preregistered and admitted patient back on the waiting list. One reason for this could be that the surgery for which the patient was admitted, cannot be performed during the current inpatient stay for medical reasons.

Prerequisites

You can only execute this function if the order item already has a connection to the case.

Procedure

  1. To detach a clinical order, choose Detach from Case (Detach from Case) in the order item, in the change mode of a clinical order.

  2. Confirm the resulting dialog box Undo Case Assignment.

  3. Save the clinical order.

Result

This function will detach the item of the clinical order, the corresponding services, and the planned appointment from the case. The inpatient admission movement, the visit entered for surgery or treatment remain active.
