Object documentationDocument Base Item Type

Clinical document actions are executed with a base item of this base item type. You can use one of the following actions:

Initial Action

Repeat Action

Create Document

Display Document

Change Document

Print Document

Display Print Preview of Document

During initial execution with the initial action Create Document the system creates a document with the document category entered in the base item.

During repeat execution the system executes the repeat action defined in the base item with the document created by the initial action.

Structure

The fields of the Organization field group are transferred to the document management data to preset the assignment of the document when the document is created. If you set the Without Dialog Box indicator, the system suppresses the document management data input dialog. This only applies if the data is complete and correct.

In the Document field group you determine the document category to be processed. If you do not enter a version, the system will select the highest version.

You can use Description to preset the description in the document management data when creating.

In the Event Configuration field group you choose the status which triggers the automatic completion of the connected task. The “Released" status is available.

Alternatively, you can choose a status from the configured status profile when selecting “Status Set”. However, the statuses of the primary or initial status type and status with release indicators are excluded from this.

With the filter values entered in Before Execution and After Execution, the BAdI BADI_ISHMED_BASEITEM_DOCUMENT is called in the enhancement spot ES_ISH_BASEITEM_DOCUMENT. The execution of the BAdI deviates from the general procedure as the system calls the methods after the execution of the action before the result of the execution of the base item is saved.

Integration

If the base item is assigned to a step of a treatment pathway, which is in turn connected to another step, the repeat action is executed with the document of the connected step. If the base item of the connected step has not yet been executed, the system cancels the execution of the base item.
