You can use this function to directly enter the material consumption for the corresponding nursing service and transfer this to Materials Management. You can assign the materials to the nursing procedures in nursing planning thereby executing material planning for the nursing care of a patient.

Integration

In order to be able to transmit information to Materials Management (SAP MM), you must enter a valid material number from SAP MM in the basic catalog for the materials. Information is then transferred to SAP MM when the service is released via the default implementation of the BAdI Services: Post Material Documents (ISHMED_SRV_IM).

Prerequisites

The basic catalog set for nursing planning must contain a Material basic catalog type.

Features

You can enter the materials which you used to perform a nursing service. Furthermore you can plan the material consumption, i.e. you can enter the materials in the nursing plan for a procedure.

You can (only) add and delete materials until you set the nursing service to Performed status. For services with Released status you determine in system parameter N1QUTIME, how long you can subsequently process the material assignment.

You can use the Business Add-In Services Post Material Documents (ISHMED_SRV_IM) to create or cancel material documents for material documentation, when you release or cancel the nursing service. For more information, see the BAdI documentation.

Activities

You enter the materials for nursing services as properties in the detail area of the processing dialog for the nursing service documentation. THe materials are available as catalog items in the Material catalog type.

The Quantity field is preset with the quantity stored for the corresponding nursing procedure. If you enter a service without a reference to a procedure, the field is preset with the quantity 1.
