Sample Hierarchy Data

This example uses the organizational unit hierarchy of a fictive company.

Procedure

  1. Define the entity type in transaction SEGW as follows:
    Properties of an entity type in the SAP Gateway Service Builder
    Properties of an entity type in the SAP Gateway Service Builder
  2. Each organizational unit has a numeric ID that serves as the key, a descriptive name (for example, SALESOP), and a ParentOrgUnit, which is again a numeric ID. The entity set defines a hierarchy of IDs as parents and children.
