A reference layer is retrieved from an external system such as a GIS system.
In this step, you can group together reference layers as well as create subgroups within the groups in a hierarchical structure. Each subgroup uses a level in the hierarchical structure and can contain a single layer or further subgroups in a hierarchical structure.
A subgroup that contains a leaf layer cannot contain other layers or subgroups.
To view the details of any of the nodes that appear under Reference Layer Group Hierarchies, proceed as follows:
Double-click on the Reference Layer Group Hierarchies node in the Dialog Structure.
Click and choose a specific reference layer group from the Reference Layer Group Hierarchies table or add a new entry.
To view details of an existing entry, choose and highlight that item and double-click on the underlying sub-nodes.
For more detailed explanations of the fields available for this node, see Nodes and Fields of Reference Layer Group Hierarchies.
