Embedded Search Terminology

An SAP NetWeaver system where Embedded Search is set up.

Describes the variant of Embedded Search that provides direct search access to business data stored in the SAP HANA tables. TREX or BWA are no longer needed in this variant.

Describes the variant of Embedded Search that requires an additional search technology. This can be either the standalone engine Search and Classification (TREX) or SAP Business Warehouse Accelerator (BWA).
