Assigning Roles for ESS (WDA) in SAP Portal
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites have to be met:
You have created the users in the portal.
An assignment exists between users in the portal and the back-end system (for example, ERP system). For more information, see User Mapping.
Procedure
For using the Business Package ESS (WDA) role, assign the following roles to each portal user:
Employee Self-Service
(com.sap.pct.erp.ess.wda.Employee_Self_Service_WDA
)If you use SRM and would like the ESS users to access SRM applications in SAP Portal, assign the SRM role
Employee Self Services (EhP1 -ESS)
(com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_employeeselfservice
)If you use ERP Purchasing and would like the ESS users to access ERP Purchasing applications in SAP Portal, assign the
Role - Employee – Self - Service Procurement
(Self-Service Procurement) (com.sap.pct.mm_pur_ssp.ro_employee
).
In the back-end system, assign to the corresponding backend user the single roles required for authorizations, also see Single Roles for Employee Self-Service (WDA).
NoteIf you assign the Employee Self-Service Composite Role, all authorizations that are in the authorization profiles of the single roles can be assigned in one step.
