Purpose

Integration of the results of an external settlement company in the settlement using a data exchange settlement unit (data exchange SU).

Use

The data exchange SU is used to collect the service charges of the usage objects assigned by way of the participation groups for the service charge settlement with external settlement companies.

You can also use the data exchange SU to carry out an internal service charge settlement; in this case the service charge settlement takes account of all usage objects assigned to the data exchange SU.

Activities

Create a data exchange SU as you would a normal settlement unit and set the Data Exchange indicator. The Settlement Company tab page becomes active, where you then enter special data for external settlements. Note

A data exchange SU can also contain a cost object settlement unit .

Result

The total costs determined by the external settlement company are apportioned on the basis of the data exchange SU (and the respective contracts or usage objects are charged).

The settlement units (and cost object settlement units) are credited through a clearing account.
