Definition of Query Join CriteriaLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

During the definition of a new query (see Definition of Queries) if you specify a query join, you can specify query join criteria for that query join. For more information, see Combination of Data Providers in a Query.

Features

The definition of a query join criterion includes the specification of the following:

  • Query Join Criterion ID

  • Query Join Criteria

    • ID of Secondary Field (Input)

You can enter the identifier of a query field that is based on an input field of the secondary search connector. During query execution, the system passes all values determined by the current query join criterion to this field when calling the secondary search connector.

    • ID of Secondary Field (Output)

You can enter the identifier of a query field that is based on an output field of the secondary search connector. This query field has to correspond in its semantic meaning to the query field entered in the ID of Secondary Field (Input) field. During query execution, the system uses the values of this query field to combine the results of the primary and the secondary search connector.

    • Value Type of Join Criterion

You specify how the system determines the input values for the secondary search connector from the output values of the primary search connector.

    • ID of Primary Field

You can enter the identifier of a query field that is based on an output field of the primary search connector. During query execution, the system uses the values of this query field retrieved from the primary search connector to determine the input of the secondary search connector according to the current query join criterion.

    • ID of Query Formula

You enter the identifier of a query formula.
