Different Value Ranges (Example 2)Locate this document in the navigation structure

However, it is possible to define another value range for CL by overwriting the value range defined in CL1. In CL2, a valid value range of 15 - 50 was specified for C1. When you assign CL2 to CL1, the value range for C1 was restricted to 10 - 20. The intersection from the value range in class CL2 and the value range specified during classification results in the value range 15 - 20. You can only valuate object O1 with value from this value range.

Caution If the value range is restricted retroactively, inconsistencies can occur in the subordinate objects. For example, if you restrict the value range to 17 - 20, then the value 16 is not longer valid for object O1.
