The Funds Management (FM) account assignment element Budget Period is available for use in Human Capital Management (HCM).
The following restriction applies to the use of the budget period in HCM:
Logical databases PNP and PNPCE contain the Fund field, but the Budget Period field has not been added to them because it would cause regeneration of all HR reports. You still have the option of filtering out the budget period by selecting it from additional organizational assignment selections on the report selection screens.
To use the budget perod in HCM, you need to configure your system as follows:
In Customizing for Public Sector Management, choose
.In the resulting screen, you select the account assignment for budget period and specify a start date for HR. Budget period is a required data element in HCM beginning on the date entered here.
Records created before this date for which a fund has been maintained require the execution of programs H99U_INFTY_BUDGETPD_ACTVTN and RHU_INFTY_BUDGETPD_ACTVTN so that you can maintain the budget period in them.
Maintain the feature DOKNT to include the Budget Period data element in the coding block.
In Customizing for Cross-Application Components, choose
and configure the budget period feature based on your specific requirements in CATS and HCM.
