 Preparing an Appraisal

Procedure

To prepare an appraisal, proceed in one of the following ways:

If you access the preparation transactions via the profile view, you can call up the subprofile of the appraisee ( Appraisals Where Appraisee ) or the subprofile of the appraiser ( Appraisals Where Appraiser ). Only one appraisee may be defined in the first of these subprofiles, and only one appraiser in the second. The profile of the corresponding person should be called.

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Human resources Next navigation step Personnel management Next navigation step Personnel development Next navigation step Profile Next navigation step Change. End of the navigation path

  2. The Change Profile screen appears.

  3. Select the appropriate appraiser or appraisee. For more information on selecting objects in the Object Manager, refer to Working With the Object Manager .

  4. Double-click the selected appraiser or appraisee.

  5. Select the Appraisals Where Appraisee (or Appraisals Where Appraiser ) tab page.

  6. Choose .

The Search Function for Appraisal Model dialog box appears.

  1. Select the appraisal model you want by double-clicking it.

  2. The Prepare Appraisal - <appraisal model> screen appears.

    If you have selected the Appraisals Where Appraiser tab page and an appraisal model to which an evaluation path has been assigned (via the form of appraisal), the Generate "To Do" List dialog box appears. For more information on "to do" lists, refer to Generating a "To Do" List .

  3. If necessary, change the name of the appraisal, and the period to be appraised.

  4. Specify appraisers and appraisees .

  5. With regard to the appraisal type of the appraisal model selected, please remember the following:

  • If the appraisal is an anonymous multisource appraisal , you may not specify any names for the appraisers, but merely the total number of appraisers.

  • In the case of individual appraisals and multisource appraisals, if you do not want appraisees to see any information on the appraiser(s) when the appraisal is displayed, select the Anonymous appraiser flag.

  1. In the case of individual appraisals, choose More appraisers or More appraisees if you want to:

  • Change the object type

  • Specify more appraisers or appraisees

  • Select the Anonymous appraiser flag.

  1. Save the appraisal.

Result

The appraisal has been prepared. You can change the appraisal until

  • An appraisal result is saved (applies to individual appraisals)

  • A subappraisal is accessed (applies to multisource appraisals)

Alternatively, you can complete preparation of the appraisal by choosing Start of the navigation path Appraisal Next navigation step Complete preparation End of the navigation path .

If you want to use a hard copy of the appraisal sheet for holding the actual appraisal, complete preparation of the appraisal, and choose Start of the navigation path Appraisal Next navigation step Print appraisal sheet End of the navigation path .
