 Creating Recurring Reservations

Use

You create a recurring reservation to reserve a given room for a series of appointments.

Procedure

  1. In the RE Navigator (RE80), choose Object Overview . In the dropdown list, choose Recurring Reservation. Choose with the quick info text Create .

  2. In the Reservation group box, enter at least the reservation object type of the object you want to reserve.

  3. Select the time period of the reservation.

  4. Create a recurring appointment for the reservation by specifying the intervals at which the appointment takes place.

To create more than one recurring appointment or an exception rule for the reservation, in the Appointment group box, choose with the quick info text Create Rule .

  5. Enter the validity period for the reservation.

  6. Choose the object you want to reserve.

You can enter the object directly using its external ID, or you can search for the reservation object.

  7. Choose the requester and the occupant.

  8. For allocating the costs, enter one or more account assignment objects.

If you assigned a cost center to the entered business partner, then the system automatically uses that cost center as the account assignment object.

  9. Enter the number of attendees.

Or you can create an attendee list.

  10. Specify the additional services you want to book.

  11. Save your settings.

Result

The system reserves the object for the recurring appointment you specified. The object is not available to be reserved by someone else during the times of the recurring appointment.

Note Note

You have to post the costs of the reservation and services to allocate them in Controlling. Simply creating the reservation is not sufficient to trigger the allocation of costs.

End of the note.
