Mass Change for Assigned ValuesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Purpose

The mass change function lets you change large quantities of existing data. This is particularly useful if you change your classification model.

You simply use the object search or a customer enhancement to find the objects whose values you want to change.

Prerequisites

The selected objects must have the same class type and object type as the initial object.

Procedure

From the classification system menu, choose Start of the navigation path Classification Next navigation step Classification Next navigation step Mass Change for Assigned Values. End of the navigation path

There are three mass processing functions:

  1. Copy Values Assigned to Object

  2. You can start with any object. From the characteristics of the object, you select the values you want to copy to target objects.

  3. Set and Change Values

  4. You start with a class type and an object type. You can change characteristic values or set new values. Target objects can be classified, or existing assignments can be deleted.

  5. Assign Values in Matrix

You start with a class. You select the relevant characteristics of the class. You can then assign values to characteristics of target objects in an easy-to-read table.

Note

You can use customer enhancement CLCTMS03 to activate processing of object dependencies when finding objects for mass processing.
