In the Concurrent Employment scenario an employee has multiple personnel assignments within one organization. The enabling of Concurrent Employment influences the system behavior of payroll, master data, and other components of Human Capital Management.

Activities

To enable Concurrent Employment, the following customizing settings are required:

  1. An entry CCURE MAINS (Concurrent Employment Main Switch) = X and CCURE GSVAL = X in table V_T77S0 should exist.

    Check the entry in Customizing for Personnel Management under Start of the navigation path Personnel Administration Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Basic Settings for Concurrent Employment Next navigation step Activate Concurrent Employment End of the navigation path.

  2. If Concurrent Employment is activated, the application has to be registered as a Concurrent Employment application via the V_T7XSSCE_GRP table view.

    To do so, execute the settings in Customizing for Personnel Management under Start of the navigation path Employee Self Service Next navigation step General Settings Next navigation step Concurrent Employment (CE) /Global Employment (GE) Next navigation step Assign CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS Applications End of the navigation path .

    Note Note

    In the standard delivery, the Personal Profile application is, by default, CE enabled.
