 Creating Joint Liability

Use

You record joint liability in order to identify parcels that serve jointly as collateral for a debt.

Prerequisites

You created at least two land registers that have entries on the Section III tab page.

Procedure

Create joint liability from the Joint Liability master data object

In the RE Navigator (RE80), choose Joint Liability in the object overview. Choose with the quick info text Create

The Create Joint Liability dialog box appears.

Enter the joint liability number and choose Enter.

The system displays the detail view for the joint liability.

On the General Data tab page, enter the name of the joint liability and the validity period in the Joint Liability group box. Save.

On the Land Registers tab page, assign all parcels that serve as collateral, and save.

The system writes the data to the Land Register master data object.

Create joint liability from the Land Register master data object

You are processing a land register . In the detail view, choose the Section III tab page. On the lower part of the screen, choose the Lien tab page.

You have two options:

Create joint liability

Choose with the quick info text Create Joint Liab

The Create Joint Liability dialog box appears.

Enter the number and name of the joint liability. Save.

You created a new joint liability.

Choose joint liability

Choose with the quick info text Choose Joint Liab

The Change Land Register <ID>: Section III dialog box appears.

Select the joint liability you want, and choose Continue.

The system copies the assignment of the land register to the joint liability.

When you assign the joint liability number, the system checks if it already contains the land register. You can add land registers after the fact.

Result

You assigned parcels to joint liability (or joint liability to parcels).
