Wholesalers who are contractually obliged to report their sales or turnover to the manufacturer, fulfill the manufacturer’s requirements using sales reports in the form of lists or files.
You use the following functions to process sales or turnover reports:
Scheduling the Import of Sales Reports
Automatic Import
Manual Entry
Outstanding Sales
The following prerequisites apply for you to be able to process sales reports:
You must have created the necessary master data.
You must have created conversion data.
You must have created the necessary request data for the wholesaler.
You must have created item data.
Sales reports must be available in paper form or as a file in a specified directory on the server.
You can process sales reports in different ways using these functions:
Manually import sales reports that exist as a file on the server
Schedule the import of sales reports as a job
Import sales reports manually straight away
Manually enter sales reports that exist in paper form
Determine outstanding sales reports and request them again
The system
Adds to the data records of the sales reports using the
conversion data
Identifies each data record it has imported (SV) to make sure they do not get transferred more than once
Saves the data
Checks the reported periods
Issues a log at the end of processing to check the operation.
If sales reports exist in the form of files, enter the storage location and the file name of the sales reports that you wish to process.
Restrict the area for which you want to process sales reports.
If you do not want to import the sales reports immediately, schedule a job using the standard procedure.
You can simulate the automatic import and the creation of orders.
You can define a percentage rate for the maximum error tolerance in Customizing. If the system reaches this limit during the data transfer, it does not import the data records in the file. You can call detailed information for error-free and incorrect data records.
If a wholesaler reports the sales of a particular period twice or if the reporting periods overlap, the system decides on the basis of the Customizing settings whether it will read in the data record concerned.
If, based on a Customizing setting, the system imports data records that have been reported twice, it can update both data records. In this case, the system adds the materials that have already been entered as separate data records (no summing up). The system can also copy non-requested sales reports.
You can process the following data in a dialog box:
Incorrect data records
Requested sales
Non-requested sales
If sales reports are in paper form, limit the area for which you want to enter the sales reports.
Enter the report data.
Flag materials for which no sales have been reported as zero reports. The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
updates zero records to the history tables and the SAP environment just like other values.
Note
Zero reports in the
Pendulum List
Indirect Sales
component are very important for materials requiring confirmation. To allow the
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
to carry out an update run, all assortments or materials requiring confirmation must be entered in full. Materials for which zero sales were reported must therefore be flagged (
Zero report
flag).
Enter at least one material that requires confirmation per assortment. So that the
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
recognizes that an assortment in a reporting period has been confirmed, sales for at least one of the materials that it contains, and for which confirmation is required must be detailed. For all the other materials in the assortment it is sufficient to set the
Zero report
flag to enable the
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
to update the assortment.
You can also enter non-requested materials for each wholesaler/object/operator. The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
logs this entry.
The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
flags all related data records in the specified time period as reported.
The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
consolidates (when set in Customizing) reported data from several sales organizations across several levels (update).
The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
places the entered data in the structures of the Sales Information System (SIS) of the ERP system for reporting purposes.
If you want to find out about sales reports that have not yet been received or if you want to create dunning lists, limit the area for which you want to find outstanding sales.
The
Pendulum List Indirect Sales
selects the relevant data records and lists them.
