SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0

Employees can view the list of benefits plans in which they are enrolled on a specified date. They can also display plan details such as options, costs, coverage, contributions, credits, dependents, beneficiaries, and investments.

Prerequisites

  • Employees must specify the participation date before they can access the overview of their plans

  • As system administrator, you have done the following:

    • Made the necessary settings in Customizing for Employee Self-Service (Web Dynpro ABAP) under Start of the navigation path Service-Specific Settings Next navigation step Personal Information End of the navigation path

    • Created the necessary processes in Customizing for Process Configuration under Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step HR Administrative Services Next navigation step Configuration of Forms/Processes End of the navigation path

Configuration

In addition to the Web Dynpro application parameters available in the standard system, the following application parameters are provided:

Key ID

Description

PARTICIPATION_DATE

Retrieves the participation date entered by the employee on the Participation Overview screen

TRACKING_ID

Use this parameter to track the application in data tracking. The parameter value must match the value maintained in the Self-Services: Data Tracking(V_T5SSCTRACKXSS) view.

PERNR_MEM_ID

Confirms if a personnel number (PERNR) value is set in the specified memory identifier (ID). This is used only when the application is launched from a different application and the PERNR is passed across different application sessions.

Features

  • Improved user interface

  • By default, the system displays an employee’s benefits plans in a list of 10 rows. If required, you can change the number of rows during Customizing.

  • Employees can do the following:

    • Display details of their benefit elections for individual plans

    • Display summaries of costs, contributions, investments, dependents, and beneficiaries

    • Print a participation confirmation form. For more information, see Confirmation Print Version.

    • Display information on plans, plan types, or investments. Display further details of the plans using an external link, which is maintained by the administrator in the system
