Adding Analytics Search ComponentLocate this document in the navigation structure

Substep A: Calling Component Configuration
  1. Start the component configuration of the floorplan used in the application (for instance FPM_OVP_COMPONENT).

    You reach the Editor for Web Dynpro ABAP Components Configuration window.

    Note

    You can add the search component to an application either in configuration mode (see Creating Own Analytical and Planning Applications) or in Customizing mode (see Enhancing Existing Analytical and Planning Applications).

  2. Choose Continue in Change Mode.

    The Component Configuration window appears.

Substep B: Adding Analytics Search Component
  1. In the preview, select the position where you want to add a new analytics search component.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Add UIBB Next navigation step Search Component End of the navigation path on the Overview Page Scheme.

  3. The system adds the analytics search component as a new UIBB with the component FPM_SEARCH_UIBB and window name SEARCH_WINDOW.

  4. Enter a name for the configuration of the search component in the Config Name field on the Overview Page Scheme tab page.

  5. Choose Save.

Substep C: Creating Component Configuration for Analytics Search Component
  1. Choose Configure UIBB on the Overview Page Scheme tab page.

    The Editor for Web Dynpro ABAP Components Configuration screen is displayed, where you can create the configuration.

  2. Choose New.

    The Create Configuration dialog box appears.

  3. Enter a description and choose OK.

    The Choose Package dialog box is displayed.

  4. Enter a package and choose OK.

    The Edit Feeder Class dialog box is displayed.

  5. Enter the feeder class CL_BS_ANLY_LIST_SEARCH_FEEDER and choose Edit Parameters.

    The Edit Parameters dialog box is displayed.

  6. Enter an analytic query and choose OK.

    Note

    You can also enter the following parameters:

    • Filters (only relevant for planning applications)

    • Planning functions (only relevant for planning applications)

    • Planning sequences (only relevant for planning applications)

    The input help for these parameters allows you to add multiple values for each parameter.

    The Component Configuration screen appears.

Substep D: Configuring Analytics Search Component

You can configure the analytics search component on the Component Configuration screen.

You can determine if the user can save the search and which buttons are visible to the user, for instance Delete or Clear.
