Installation StepsLocate this document in the navigation structure

The following information in this section provides the installation sequence. As a prerequisite, you need to have at least one SAP installation, such as SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP SRM or any SAP Business Suite application with SAP Business Suite Foundation as an underlying component.

Caution If you have installed the framework 1.0 and want to upgrade to SAP S/4HANA 1610, apply SAP S/4HANA 1610 SP00 or higher. Otherwise, it'll result in losing the framework.

A version of SAP Business Suite Foundation Installation 7.31, 7.47, or 7.48

SAP Business Suite Foundation is included in the following SAP products:

SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 or higher

SAP CRM 7.0 EhP2 or higher

SAP SRM 7.0 EhP2 or higher

SAP SCM 7.0 EhP2 or higher

SAP EM 7.0 EhP1 or higher

SAP SEM 6.0 EhP6 or higher

SAP SNC 7.0 EhP2 or higher

Other SAP products that belong to the SAP Business Suite also include a version of SAP Business Suite Foundation.

SAP HANA Platform Edition 1.0 SRS 10 Rev. 102 or higher (includes SAP HANA Studio), installed on a SAP-certified HANA appliance (download from SAP Service Marketplace)

SAP HANA DB can be a primary DB of your main SAP system. SAP HANA DB can be a separate standalone system or any other HANA DB in your landscape if present.

Any industry-specific application, for example SAP for Utilities, Telecommunications, Public Services, that have underlying SAP ERP or SAP CRM systems, have SAP Business Suite Foundation.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, upgrade SAP Business Suite Foundation software component to required support pack level: SAP Business Suite Foundation 7.31 (SAP_BS_FND731) SP17 or SAP Business Suite Foundation 7.47 (SAP_BS_FND747) SP12 or SAP Business Suite Foundation 7.48 (SAP_BS_FND748) SP02
  2. To activate the business function, run transaction SFW5, then select and activate business function FND_GEF.
  3. To make sure the related business function BC sets are activated, run transaction SFW1, enter switch name BS_GEF_SFWS_1, and click Activate Dependent BC-Sets.
  4. Install HANA Content of SAP Geographical Enablement Framework Deployment Unit (HCO_GEF_DATA 100). You can download this from SAP Service Marketplace.
  5. Install SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2.0 or SAP UI component.
  6. Install SAP Geographical Enablement Framework UI (software component UIGEF001 100)

Depending on your version of SAP NetWeaver, the following SAP products need to be installed:
  • For NW 7.31 SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2.0: NW7.31 or SAP UI implementation 2.0 for decoupled innovations: NW7.01

  • For NW 7.40 SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2.0: NW 7.40 or User Interface Technology 7.50

  • For NW 7.50 SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2.0: NW 7.50 or User Interface Technology 7.50

There are no direct dependencies with the SAP Fiori and SAP Geographical Enablement Framework, only SAP UI components are obligatory for the installation. Nevertheless, if you are planning to use Fiori navigation capabilities, you need to install the SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2.0.
