You use the output areas Header, Main Area, and Footer to print the table heading, the actual table items, and the results (for example, a grand total) in the table.
After creating a table node, the navigation tree provides you with the directly inferior nodes of the table node for printing the table output. You fill these areas with contents using line types (see: Specifying Table Output).
Options for Header and Footer Areas
Field |
For |
Meaning |
At Beginning of Table |
Header Area |
The inferior node of the event node Header is printed once at the beginning of the table, for example, for the table heading. |
At End of Table |
Footer |
The inferior node of the event node Footer is printed once at the end of the table, for example, for a grand total. |
Height |
Footer |
For the footer, you must specify a height to tell the composer how much space to reserve for the footer. This enables the form processor to process the footer only at the page break event, which again allows you to use this area for the output of calculation results. |
At Page Break |
Header and Footer |
The header is again printed after a page break and the footer appears again before a page break. |
Conditions for Header and Footer Areas
The Conditions tab of the inferior nodes of the header and footer areas contains additional events ( Only at Page Break, Only at Beginning of Section, Only at End of Section). These events are input-enabled only if both fields of the Ouptut Event group box are marked (default). In this case, you can print different output depending on the output event. You can use the additional output events to further narrow down the output event.
