Activating LoggingLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You are in the initial screen of the maintenance transaction for InfoSets in the SAP query.

Context

Logging logs the execution of queries with the InfoSet Query. You can determine for which query areas of the query and for which InfoSets a log should be carried out.

Procedure


  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Extras Next navigation step Set Log End of the navigation path.

    The Change Query Log Control: Overview screen appears.

    You can maintain entries for the database table AQPROTCUST in this screen.

  2. Choose New Entries.

  3. Enter the data required.

    If you want to log query execution within a query area for certain InfoSets only, enter a record for every InfoSet.

    If you want to log query execution within a certain query area for all InfoSets, enter the identifier for the query area and * for the InfoSet.

    You cannot use the entry * for the query area. If you want to log the execution of queries with the InfoSet Query in the standard as well as in the global query area for all InfoSets, enter each query area in a separate line. Enter * for the InfoSets.

  4. Choose .

Results

Logging is active according to your entries. If you start queries with the InfoSet Query, their execution is logged from this point on. You can analyze the logs with specific queries or by using the Data Browser. You should regularly delete logs that you no longer need.
