Use

This section covers the various display and editing options for InfoSets.

Prerequisites

You are in the initial screen of InfoSet Query. An InfoSet Query is displayed in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

What You Should Know

Expanding a subtree

Select a field group or a node of the logical database and choose .

You cannot use this function for the display option Field Catalog.

Collapsing a subtree

Select a field group or a node of the logical database and choose .

You cannot use this function for the display option Field Catalog.

Find

You can search for fields within the InfoSet.

Choose .

Enter all or part of the name of the field in the dialog box.

Choose in the dialog box.

The cursor stays on the first field that contains the term you are searching; the dialog box is still on the screen. You can continue the search by clicking on in the dialog box.

If you are looking for parts of a field name, just enter that part in the in Search dialog box. Do not use a masked entry, such as flight*.

Note

The entry flight will give you, for example, the fields Flight Connections, Flight Details, or Flight Code.

Display options

Depending on the current settings, click on either , , or .

In the menu that appears select one of the display options Field groups, Structure of logical database, or Field catalog.

Display all/certain fields of a field catalog.

Choose .

To restrict the field catalog to fields of a certain field group, select one of the field groups in the dialog box that appears. To display all the fields, choose All fields.

You can only use this function for the display option Field Catalog.

Technical names on/off

You can display the technical names of the fields in an additional column.

To do this, in the context menu of the InfoSet display title, choose Technical Names on/off.

Display field properties

You can display the properties (such as data type and length) of any field you want in an additional area of the screen.

Select the desired field.

Choose Display Field Properties in the context menu.
