Use

Web services are used by applications running on various platforms to exchange data over the Internet. The Web service Old Proxy Method Used as Web Service (/IPRO/CALL_DOCB) enables SAP Document Builder to be called by SAP PPS. You can check it in transaction SOA Manager (SOAMANAGER).

Prerequisites

You manage Web services with the Web Service Administrator role (SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN).

  • You checked the client proxy in your system using transaction Object Navigator (SE80). In SAP PPS, the proxy is CO_IPRO_CALL_DOCB.

  • You defined the logical port for the client proxy in SAP PPS using transaction Maintain Logical Ports (LPCONFIG). This port corresponds to the one in Customizing under Start of the navigation path SRM Server Next navigation step Cross-Industry Functions Next navigation step Integration with SAP Document Builder  Next navigation step Activate Integration with SAP Document Builder End of the navigation path.

  • You used the BAdI in Customizing under Start of the navigation path SRM Server Next navigation step Cross-Industry Functions Next navigation step Customer Enhancements (BAdIs) Next navigation step Integration with SAP Document Builder  Next navigation step Set Up Integration with SAP Document Builder End of the navigation path.

Old Proxy Method Used as Web Service

The Web service Old Proxy Method Used as Web Service (/IPRO/CALL_DOCB) integrates SAP Document Builder with SAP PPS and has the following:

  • INPUT

XML message created using WSDL report (/IPRO/OUTPUT_WSDL) in Customizing and downloaded to a PC

  • OUTPUT

Field structure corresponding to the variable structure contained in the XML message and supplemented with the GUID and version fields
