Using central user management and distribution with SAP NetWeaver Identity Management, you can have the system automatically create and distribute user data that an employee in your company needs in the various applications. In addition, SAP NetWeaver Identity Management can recognize changes to employee-related data automatically, and create, change, or (in the case of assignments) delete corresponding user data in the connected application systems.
The overall process described here assumes that the application component Personnel Administration of SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) is the main source of employee-related data. The overall process consists of the following steps:
Retrieval of employee-related data by an SAP ERP HCM system
Processing of this data in the SAP NetWeaver Identity Management system
Distribution of the data to connected application systems (for instance SAP ERP Financials, SAP ERP Operations, SAP Customer Relationship Management, SAP Supply Chain Management)
Automatic data maintenance of employee-related communication data in SAP ERP HCM using SAP NetWeaver Identity Management
