The reporting function Class without superior shows you all the classes that have no superior classes. These can be classes that are not in a class hierarchy, or classes at the top of a hierarchy.
To display classes that have no superior class, proceed as follows:
From the classification menu, choose
If you want to see a list of all classes without a superior class in one class type, select the class type and enter "*" in the Class field.
– You can also enter a name range.
– If you want to produce a list for a specific date, enter the date.
– If you have processed the class with change numbers that have parameter effectivity, select Parameter effectivity. You see a dialog box where you enter the parameters used to define effectivity. The system determines the status of the characteristics that is effective for these parameters.
Choose Execute .
You see a list of all classes that have no superior class, the class status, and an indicator showing whether objects are assigned to each class.
From the result screen, you can go directly to the Class to classes assignment function and assign a class to one or more superior classes.
To do this, select a class and choose Assign.
