 Phrase Search in Characteristic Fields

For the assignment to a characteristic, you can generically search for phrases by the phrase text. You can search as follows:

  • Phrase start without generic delimitation, for example, Start of the navigation path gr Next navigation step green End of the navigation path

  • Generic delimitation instead of phrase start Start of the navigation path *een Next navigation step green End of the navigation path

  • Placeholder in the middle, for example, Start of the navigation path gre+n Next navigation step green (+ for 1 character, * for more than one character) End of the navigation path

  • Combination of the entries mentioned above, for example, Start of the navigation path *re Next navigation step green End of the navigation path

    Note Note

The system does not differentiate between lowercase and uppercase letters during search runs.

    End of the note.

System behavior following the search depends on how many phrases the system finds:

  • If it finds only one phrase, it enters the phrase in the characteristic field.

  • If it finds more than one phrase, it displays the input help dialog box. Here the system displays only the phrases that correspond to the specified search criteria.
