This localization is designed for use by companies in Italy dealing with real estates. It comprises Flexible Real Estate Management
(RE-FX) functions that follow laws and business practices particular to real estate in Italy. This documentation explains how the Italian RE-FX country-specific functions work and how to customize the system according to local requirements.
To use RE-FX, you have activated the business function Financials Extension
(EA-FIN). You make this setting in Customizing, by choosing SAP ECC Extensions

To use the RE-FX localization for Italy, you have to enable the country, Italy. You do so in Customizing for RE-FX, by choosing

The RE-FX country-specific functions for Italy enable you to fulfill the legal requirements for tax calculation and tax reporting in Italy. The functions support the calculation of three different tax types in Italy:
City tax (ICI) – Imposta Comunale sugli Immobili
, a property tax
In addition to the calculation of city tax, the following functions are available that relate to city tax:
ICI/IMU form
F24 payment file

Note that in Italy, the city tax - ICI (Imposta comunale sugli immobili
) was valid until December, 2011. In January, 2012, the city tax was replaced by a similar property tax, which is called IMU (Imposta Municipale Unica
).

In addition to the calculation of property tax, the following functions are available that relate to property tax:

Registration tax for contracts (IRE – Imposta di Registro

In addition to the tax calculation, you can also change the process of posting IRE payback amounts.
Stamp tax for documents (IB – Imposta di Bollo
)
You can use the following functions in addition to tax calculation:
Maintenance of cadastral master data
Splitting and merging of architectural objects
Posting of security deposit interest
Delayed deferral posting

The system supports the property tax (ICI, IMU) and registration tax (IRE) data migration from legacy systems (non-SAP systems) to SAP systems using the Legacy System Migration Workbench
(transaction LSMW
). This also applies to the cadastral master data as of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0.
