 "To Do" List Creation

Purpose

You use the "to do" list to generate a list of objects for which appraisals should be prepared. You can decide whether you specify an object to be appraised and then search for appraisers, or whether you specify an appraiser and search for objects this appraiser is to appraise.

A "to do" list can, for example, be used to map the following scenarios:

  • Preparing business event appraisals

Example Example

A business event is to be appraised by the people who attended it. The instructor wants the system to determine who is going to attend the event, and then prepare the corresponding appraisals. In this case, the business event is the object to be appraised, and it is this object that the instructor wants to find objects for.

End of the example.
  • Preparing a personnel appraisal for the employees of an organizational unit

Example Example

The manager of an organizational unit wants to hold performance reviews for all the people in his organizational unit who have been employed there for at least 6 months. He wants the system to generate a list of all the employees of the organizational unit, so that he can prepare all the appraisals from this list.

End of the example.

Restrictions

The "to do" list can only be used for

  • Appraisal models with the appraisal type Individual appraisal

  • Appraisals where only specific objects (appraisers and appraisees) are involved

Prerequisites

Appraisal models to which evaluation paths have been assigned (via forms of appraisal) must exist. For further information on forms of appraisal, please refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Development (step: Start of the navigation path Appraisal Systems Next navigation step Edit forms of appraisals Next navigation step ) End of the navigation path .

Process Flow

  1. Specify the appraisal model you want to use.

  2. Decide whether you specify an object to be appraised and then search for appraisers (the attendees of a business event, for example), or whether you specify an appraiser and search for objects this appraiser is to appraise (persons in an organizational unit, for example).

  3. Select the object you want.

  4. Generate the "to do" list.

  5. Specify whether the appraiser(s) should remain anonymous.

  6. Complete preparation of the appraisals.

Result

A "to do" list has been generated, and the appraisals can be held.
