Definition
  • Group ID: Unique ID of the reference layer group (alphanumeric).

  • Group Description: Meaningful description of the reference layer group.

Fields to maintain for Level 1 Group and Layer Assignment and further levels.

  • Group ID: ID of the layer group the current layer or service belongs to.

  • Parent Group ID: Unique ID of the parent reference layer group.

  • Tooltip: Text to be displayed when hovering over the field on the map UI.

  • Group Description: Meaningful description of the reference layer group is used as name of the group on the UI.

  • Group Expanded by Default: Check this to enable default expansion of the reference layer group.

  • Visible in Hierarchy: Check this field to display the node in the hierarchy. This field can be used, for example, if you are customizing your entries in a productive system and you do not currently want your group to be used on the UI.

  • Reference Layer ID: Unique ID of reference layer within the group. Assign a specific reference layer from the Customizing of Reference Services or Layers. Be aware that if you assign the layer to the group, this group will be the final leaf group and you cannot assign anything below this item.

  • Priority: Determines the position of the layer in the layer stack or position of the group. It also affects how legends are displayed and the order of groups in the hierarchy. Larger number reflects higher priority and topmost layer.

  • Opacity: Set default opacity for the reference layer group. Determined on a scale of 0-1, 0 being completely transparent. The default opacity is 0.5.

  • Switched on by Default: Objects of this reference layer are shown on the map by default. Not applicable to groups with subgroups.
