Use

The TransientProvider derived from an operational data provider is an InfoProvider that allows access to the data of an operational data provider, without the need for the InfoProvider to be modeled in the BW system or for the data to be replicated in the BW system. The system automatically and dynamically creates the InfoProvider and the corresponding InfoObjects, by using the ODP definition.

The data can be called directly from the operational data provider in the BI tools, which use analytic queries as a unique query layer. You can continue to edit queries created on the basis of ODPs, in the BI tools, in the same way as with queries based on other InfoProviders.

When selecting InfoProviders in the query definition, you can recognize TransientProviders derived from an ODP by the following naming convention for technical names: 2O<technischer Name des ODPs>. If the technical name of the ODP is ODP_A for example, the name of the InfoProvider is 2OODP_A.

In the TransientProvider preview, you can see what the TransientProvider looks like that is derived from a particular ODP.
