 Changing a Ranking

Use

The restrictions in section II and section III are ranked.

The system determines the ranking within a section and among groups using the date of the entry. The earlier the date of entry is, the higher the ranking. If rankings are changed later, then the two rights involved exchange their rankings. Any other rankings are not affected by the change. A subsequent change in ranking remains in effect, even if the change to the right involved is cancelled. If rights have the same date of entry, or are changed in a subsequent ranking change so that they have the same ranking, then these rights have equal ranking.

You can change rankings in section II and section III manually.

Procedure

  1. You can change the ranking of entries on the Section II and Section III tab pages. Select an object and choose the Rank tab page in the lower part of the detail view.

  2. Change the ranking in the Rank group box. The system calculates the ranking using both sections – that is, the entries in both section II and section III are considered in determining the rank. You can make the following changes:

    • Before Seq.No.Sect.

To place an encumbrance in the ranking before the selected encumbrance, enter the encumbrance in this field.

    • Add to Section No.

To assign an encumbrance to an existing ranking number, enter the encumbrance in this field.

  3. Save your entries.

On the Ranking Overview tab page, the system provides an overview of the ranking numbers of both sections II and III.

Result

You changed the ranking of an encumbrance.
