Procedure documentationMerging Cadastral Objects

After you executed the Splitting/Merging of Cadastral Objects program or you reopen an already-parked merging process, proceed as follows on the output screen of the program.

Procedure

  1. Select the architectural objects that you want to merge and choose Merge.

You have to choose at least two architectural objects (AOs) to be merged at a time.

  2. In the popup window, select the architectural object whose data groups - selected in Customizing - you want the system to copy when creating the new architectural object at the end of the merging process.

  3. You must first close the architectural objects that you want to merge on the lower section of the output screen.

The system enters the Valid To date of the architectural objects which is one day prior to the processing date.

    Note Note

If the architectural objects are not valid in the chosen validity period, that is, the architectural object is already closed, the Close Object pushbutton is inactive.

    End of the note.
  4. The system displays the data of the architectural object you selected in step 2.

You can enter a new name for the AO you are creating, or you can copy the row of the AO with the Copy pushbutton and enter a new name for the AO you are creating.

You can also enter or modify any data in the row for the AO.

  5. Specify a measurement type for the AO that you want to create by selecting the relevant row and choosing Measurements for AO.

You can remove or modify the existing ones or add new ones to the AO. In this case, when you choose Create Object, the system overwrites the measurement type in the master data.

  6. Select the row and choose Link ROs.

The system displays all the rental objects that are assigned to the architectural objects that are included in the merging process. On the ICI Data tab page, the rental objects are assigned to the architectural objects in the master data.

    Note Note

The system displays only the rental objects that are valid on the Processing Date of the merging process. If there is no valid rental object on the processing date, the system lists the latest valid rental object.

    End of the note.
  7. Choose as many rental objects as you want and choose Save.

You can choose only from the ROs that are displayed.

  8. Specify a measurement type for the ROs by choosing Measurements for RO.

  9. If you still do not want to create the new architectural object, you can save your work using the Park Work/Process pushbutton.

Later on, when you want to continue your work, you can recall the parked process by using the Get Values pushbutton as described in Splitting/Merging of Cadastral Objects, section Parking of Activities.

  10. Choose Create Object.

The system creates the new architectural object. If you selected more than one rental object to be assigned to the new architectural object, the system automatically generates a new participation group that contains all the selected rental objects. On the ICI Data tab page, the system then assigns this participation group to the architectural object in the master data.

You can check the new AO in transaction REBDAO. Note that the Partial Assignment checkbox is selected, that is, the rental object or objects are partially assigned to the AO.

There are some values of the rental object that can be updated only in the AO. When you update such a value in the AO and save the change, the system automatically updates the value in the rental object. In Customizing, you can choose the measurement types whose values must be updated in the architectural object (AO) to which the corresponding rental object belongs. This is relevant only to the measurement data of the rental objects that the system creates during the splitting or merging process.
