You group real estate objects that have the same object type into sets, so that you can keep reusing a selection of objects you entered once. Reports are available for automatically creating and updating sets for the following objects:
Usage objects
Contracts
Settlement units
Real estate sets are required for CO Assessment on Real Estate Objects .
You can schedule these reports to update your real estate sets in the background. In this way you can ensure, for example, that the real estate set for all rental objects in a business entity contains all new rental objects that are created for the business entity.
You can also use these reports to have the system automatically generate different real estate sets based on a grouping criterion. The grouping criterion replaces a placeholder in the set name, so that you can select real estate sets using the grouping.
For more information, refer to Manual Processing of Real Estate Sets .

In the
Object Selection
group box, choose the level at which you want to add the objects.
In the
Set
group box, select the
Object Type of Set
.
To add new objects for an existing real estate set (update) and to create new real estate sets, set the
Add Objects
indicator.
To group the results of the selection together based on a certain criterion and form a new real estate set from this grouping, use the
Grouping Field
field.
For groupings, use a percentage symbol (%) as a placeholder in the set name and select a value in the
Grouping Field
field. When you save, the placeholder is replaced by the value in the
Grouping Field
field. Make sure that the set name does not exceed the maximum length allowed after the placeholder has been replaced.
For this reason, only the field itself is used for the replacement, even for fields that are part of a combined key (for example, the number of the business entity). Also make sure that the dataset is limited so that the generated set names are unique (see theExample ).
Choose
with the quick info text
Execute.
The list of selected objects appears. The first column,
Grouping Value
, contains all objects, sorted based on the grouping field.
You can set additional filters in the list itself.
Select all objects you want to place into one set and save.
You receive a log that shows the name of the set that was generated.
To display the objects in the set, go to the RE Navigator and call the set in the Object Overview.
You want to create a separate set for the rental objects (RO) of each business entity (BE). In the
Grouping Field field, choose
Business Entity
. In the
Set Name
field, enter the name
RO_BE_%
The rental objects selected based on the other selection options are grouped by business entity. You select all objects and save your selection. The system generates a set for each group. The placeholder is replaced by the business entity number. For example, for rental objects of business entity 4711 the set name isRO_BE_4711
The number of a business entity is unique only in one company code. In this example, therefore, if you selected several company codes in the report, this could mean that the rental objects in setRO_BE_4711might be from several different company codes. For this reason, you should select only one company code in a case like this.
