Deletion of Order Items - SAP Documentation

Use

You can use this mass maintenance function to delete order items for which follow-on documents do not yet exist.

Note Note

If you want to delete orders for which subsequent documents (for example, deliveries) exist, you must delete the subsequent documents before you can delete the orders using the mass processing function. You use the corresponding programs from Sales and Distribution (SD) to delete the subsequent documents.

Deletion of order items may be necessary if basic order parameters have changed and you need to generate the orders again.

The deletion function affects generated orders , but you can also include orders created manually if you wish.

Note Note

When deleting orders that were created manually, please note that you cannot create them again using the Generate Orders function.

Features

Selection of the order items to be deleted by specifying the following criteria:
- Data on the contract or order :
  - Sales area
  - Contract and order type of contract
  - Sold-to party, ship-to party
  - Order and order type of order
- Media issue (or interval of media issues)
  or media product with publication date or copy number
  
  Note
  If you specify the media product but do not specify a media issue, the system takes into account each media issue for which a delivery quantity is entered in the quantity plan.

- Issue mix (only in combination with a media issue)
  
  Application example: You must replace the old mix with a new one so that it is possible to include a large ad insert order in an outbound delivery of a media issue. The existing orders for the mix must be deleted and then created again with the new mix.
- Phase model with phase number
- Material Status of Media Issue
You can control the function by selecting the indicator specifying that deletion is also to take place for orders created manually
