Simplified Mixed Packing Checks

Use

According to dangerous goods regulations, dangerous goods are not permitted to be packed together in just any combination in the same package.

The dangerous goods check method Simplified Mixed Packing Checks(DG63_HU_CHK_MPACK) in the Dangerous Goods Checks component checks handling units (packages) so that only those dangerous-goods-relevant handling unit items can be packed together that have the same UN number.

Integration

The dangerous goods check method Simplified Mixed Packing Checks is provided by the Dangerous Goods Checks component.

Prerequisites

You have edited the following IMG activities in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management:

  • Activate Dangerous Goods Checks: The Checks Active and HU Integration Active indicators must be set.

  • Specify Dangerous Goods Check Methods: You designated the Simplified Mixed Packaging Check (DG63_HU_CHK_MPACK) as the DG header mixed packaging check by entering check method type 05.

  • Specify Dangerous Goods Check Schemas: You assigned the check method Simplified Mixed Packaging Check (DG63_HU_CHK_MPACK) to a dangerous goods check schema.

    Note Note

    The initialization module DG63_HU_CHK_INIT_MPACK (check method type 04) has to appear in the dangerous goods check schema before the check method Simplified Mixed Packaging Check (DG63_HU_CHK_MPACK). To do this, use the SProc (sequence processing) field in the IMG activity Specify Dangerous Goods Check Schemas.

  • Assign Dangerous Goods Check Schemas: You have assigned the check schema to the shipping document.

Features

This function module checks if the handling unit items being packed all have the same UN number.

The function module is called once for each dangerous-goods-relevant handling unit.

The function module accesses the data of the globally defined internal table LG_DG_HU_TAB, which was filled by initialization module DG63_HU_CHK_INIT_MPACK.

The check is performed for all dangerous goods regulations determined by the route.
