Specifying Packaging Material Proposals If multiple materials of a delivery that are subject to dangerous goods regulations are to be packed in a handling unit, then the packaging must comply with the dangerous goods regulations. Therefore, you are only allowed to use a packaging material for the packaging if it is entered or allowed for all of the dangerous-goods-relevant materials that are being packed. You can use the BAdI BADI_EHSDG_HU_002 (
Selection of Dangerous Goods Data for Packaging
, method: PROP_PACKMAT) to implement a system proposal for determining the allowed packaging materials.
BAdI BADI_EHSDG_HU_002 is active. A default implementation is provided.
In Customizing for
Dangerous Goods Management,
you have set the
HU Integration Active
indicator in the
Activate Dangerous Goods Checks
IMG activity.
For the shipping document, there is at least one dangerous goods document item (material with dangerous goods indicator profile for dynamic classification in the material master).
For dangerous-goods-relevant materials, the data records for packing requirements are entered for each dangerous goods master (table: CCDUTPACK).
BAdI BADI_EHSDG_HU_002 (Selection of Dangerous Goods Data for Packaging) is active.
The default code contained in the standard system is processed (method PROP_PACKMAT).
A packaging code is selected in the
Selection of Dangerous Goods for Packaging
dialog.
The appropriate packaging code approvals were entered for the allowed packaging material.
One of these dangerous goods statuses is entered for the packaging materials:
Dangerous Goods Packaging
(PACKMATDG) or
LQ Packaging
(PACKMATLQ).
The packaging material proposal is dependent on the level of dangerous goods packaging that was selected and the packaging code that was selected on the handling unit. In addition, the packaging material proposal evaluates the dangerous goods packaging status in the material master for the packaging materials determined.
The default implementation for the packaging material proposal (provided in the standard system) supports only outer packaging and single packaging (level of dangerous goods packaging). You can make your own customer-specific adjustments without writing code modifications.
