Procedure

Starting Distribution in the Source System
  1. In the Dangerous Goods Management menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Dangerous Goods Master Distribution Next navigation step Start Distribution End of the navigation path .

    The Send Dangerous Goods Master screen appears. The message type DANGEROUSGOOD is set as the default.

    Note Note

    You can also simulate distribution.

    To do this, choose Simulate Distribution .

  2. Select the logical systems to which the dangerous goods master records are to be distributed.

  3. Enter intervals for materials and for dangerous goods regulations and the selection date as selection criteria.

    Note Note

    You can use the Change pointer evaluation indicator to tell the system to take into account during filling only those data records that were created, changed, or deleted.

  4. Choose with the quick info text Execute .

    The system informs you whether distribution could be started successfully.

Monitoring in the Target System
  1. In the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step ALE Next navigation step ALE Administration Next navigation step Monitoring Next navigation step Status Monitor End of the navigation path .

  2. As the selection criterion, enter DANGEROUSGOOD in the Message type field.

  3. Choose with the quick info text Execute .

    An overview of the inbound and outbound IDocs is displayed, whose data you can display and change.

Displaying the Log in the Target System
  1. In the target system in the Dangerous Goods Management menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Import Log Next navigation step Check Logs End of the navigation path .

    The Analyze Application Log screen appears.

  2. Make sure that EHDD has been entered in the Object field and enter other selection criteria.

  3. Choose with the quick info text Execute .

    The system displays the log.

    Note Note

    You have the option of choosing which messages you want to display in the import log for distribution. This means you can reduce the scope of extensive logs. You make these settings in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the IMG activity Hide Messages in Import Logs .

Deleting the Log
  1. To delete logs in the target system, in the Dangerous Goods Management menu choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Import Log Next navigation step Delete Logs End of the navigation path .

  2. Enter your selection criteria and choose with the quick info text Execute .

Note

  • You have the option of specifying whether the system should always attempt to update IDocs or whether they should not be updated if data records contain errors. You make these settings in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools in the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters using the DG_DISTRIBUTION_SAVE parameter.

  • You also have the option of switching off phrase verification if you are sure that the phrases exist in the target system. This improves performance. You make these settings in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools in the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters using the DG_SUPPRESS_PHR_CHECK parameter.
