Material Master Record
Data record in SAP Logistics (LO) containing all the basic information required to manage a material in the system.
A material master record can contain the following data:
Data of a descriptive nature, such as size, dimension and weight
Data with a control function, such as material type and industry sector
Data that is automatically updated by the system, such as stock levels.
You must create material master records for the materials you want to assign to material catalogs in the system.
